Animal Harbor is a limited-admission animal shelter facility serving Franklin County, Tennessee. It is operated by members of The Franklin County Humane Society, a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. 

The mission of The Franklin County Humane Society is to

  • Provide health care and temporary shelter for lost and homeless companion animals
  • Find new loving homes for these pets
  • Reduce pet overpopulation by promoting spaying and neutering
  • Prevent cruelty to animals
  • Educate the community about animal welfare

Animal Harbor opened its doors in February of 2003. It was the first animal shelter in Franklin County.
